![]() I got this album a cople of days ago and its not really that good and what I expected and it doesnit live up to its hipe. I don't even understand why it generates so much excitement and appraisal. However, I find the whole album plain boring. Songs are complex with a different / original sound. Over-rated, over-hyped, over-pretentious and boring as fuck. but all in all arguably the best album by Radiohead. Sometimes it dragged on a bit, and perhaps had too much going on for its own good. I must be missing something, if you know what it is, please tell me. Besides the first two tracks (OK, they're pretty good, I know, that's the reason I'm ranking this as a 2 and no lower) the album is boring as hell. I don't know what people see that is so good about this. If a lot of the album wasnt like Homesick Alien Blues then thisd be higher. Homesick Alien Blues man, if only Homesick Alien Blues had been better. It does have some good moments but on the whole it's not something to be enjoyed, rather, endured. It's just a little bit a screamingand moaning by some, surprised to hear no-one's called them, emo's. ![]() I am just so dumbfounded about why this came #1 in Channel 4's Greatest Albums of All Time. ![]() Tried really hard to like this album but i just dont And "Paranoid Android"? All of the above. Every song is brilliant - "Climing Up The Walls" terrifies, "Fitter Happier" creeps, "Lucky" swirls, "Electioneering" rocks, "No Surprises" sooth, and "Karma Police" is even capable of raising a laugh. It's a singular idea perfected - a view of the future as a sterile hell powered by soul-less technological advancement. Maybe it doesn't quite deserve all of that, but I'm far from the only one who thinks this is the best album of the 90s. Peppers to find a record that's accumulated the level of critical acclaim this one has. Let's be honest - you might have to go back as far as Sgt. It has been since the day I heard it, too.
